Halloween Candy Buy-Back Opportunities in SLC

If your kids are anything like mine, that nice weather on Halloween night resulted in an extra long evening of trick-or-treating. If the candy bags are overflowing at your house, too, consider trading the candy for cash at these local dentists:

November 1

  1. Salt Lake Dental (2120 South 700 East, #1 SLC, UT) – 3pm-7pm – Every child under 12 is welcome to bring their candy and swap it for $1 per pound (up to 5 lbs per child). The goodies will be collected and shipped to Operation Gratitude, which makes care packages for U.S. troops overseas. http://saltlakedental.wordpress.com/halloween-sweet-swap
  2. South Mountain Dental (12288 South 900 East, Draper, Utah) – 2pm-6pm – Kids of all ages can trade their Halloween candy for $1 per pound. The candy will be donated to the Utah National Guard. https://www.facebook.com/events/390450004356174

  4. Pinecrest Dental (535 East 4500 South, SLC, UT) – 2pm-5pm – Pinecrest Dental pays $1 per pound (up to 5 pounds) for your unopened Halloween candy. 5. Lighthouse Dental and Orthodontics (3926 West 13400 South, Suite F, Riverton, UT) – 9:30am-6pm – Kids can get $1 per pound of new, unopened candy. There is a limit of $5 per donor, and the child must be present to collect. The candy is sent to our troops overseas, and children can decorate a card to be sent along with their candy. The candy will be donated to Operation Gratitude, an organization that provides care packages to United States’ military personnel. It’s a great opportunity to teach your son or daughter about the gift of giving while helping a soldier who might not be coming home for the Holidays this year. Donations, letters, and other care package items are welcome. The office is also collecting new or gently used coats, gloves and scarves to be donated to local charities.
