KIP MOORE was asked why he made the choice to light up a cigarette in his "Young Love" video. Basically, he was trying to keep it real.
He said, quote, "My whole deal with doing that in the video was, when I was a teenager I would smoke from time to time. It was supposed to be everything how I did it back then."
He's carrying that realism into his next album. He says, quote, "That's kind of a thing with the new record, too. I'm gonna offend some people. You come to a place in your career where you just don't worry about that [crap] anymore, you just don't."
Kip's learned that it's impossible to please every single fan anyway. Quote, "You realize you're gonna lose fans, but you're gonna gain fans, too. And I'm finally just okay with that. I no longer care about appeasing everyone."
(Kip's new album is done, but there's still no title or release date.)
